‘Final Dance’, Dwayne Bravo Set To Retire From T20s After CPL

The 40-year old had a significant impact in T20 cricket history and will be remembered for his exploits and fun around the cricket field.

The West Indies legendary all-rounder, Dwayne Bravo set to hung his boots from professional T20 cricket. The ongoing Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2024 will be his last tournament.

Bravo posted on his Instagram portal related to his retirement. The 40-year old spoke about being on a ‘great journey’ in his cricketing career, which he would like to with his Caribbean people.


Interestingly, the retirement post came hours before Trinbago Knight Riders are slated to play their game against St Kitts & Nevis Patriots at the Warner Park, Basseterre.

Bravo’s Illustrious Career

In his adventurous career in CPL, he ends being the leading wicket-taker, registering 128 wickets in 103 matches at an average of 22.40 and the economy of 8.69.

Bravo also won 5 CPL titles, which is most by any player in the history of the tournament, 3 with Trinbago Knight Riders after first being with Trinidad and Tobago Red Steel and one with St Kitts & Nevis Patriots.

Dwayne Bravo also announced his retirement from the IPL in 2023 before becoming the part of CSK coaching staff. He retired from International cricket after the T20 World Cup 2021.
