New Delhi: Real Madrid clinched the Club World Cup for a record extending fifth time after beating Saudi Arabian side Al Hilal by 5-3 in the final on Sunday at Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat, Morocco.
Federico Valverde, Vinicius Jr and Karim Benzema shines
With doubles from Federico Valverde and Vinicius Jr and a goal by Karim Benzema, helped Real Madrid to net five goals. Al-Hilal in a reply scored three times, with one from Moussa Marega and Luciano Vietto also netting twice.

Valverde linked up with Benzema, who put the ball on a plate for Vinicius ghosting in behind the defence to slot in from close range.
Valverde extended Real’s lead five minutes later on the rebound but Al Hilal hit back with a goal from Moussa Marega on the counter-attack.

Vinicius Jr strikes twice
The Brazilian star Vinicius Jr take the center stage and show-cased his finest skills against the beleaguered Al Hilal defence, with the crowd on their feet every time the jet-heeled Brazilian ran down the left channel.
Real Madrid control the match most of the times
Real controlled the tempo and had almost 70% possession, but they were at times in defensive trouble. Having won three Intercontinental Cup trophies, the predecessor to the Club World Cup, which pits the European and South American champions against each other, Real have a total of eight global titles.
This is Real Madrid’s fifth Club World Cup title. Earlier the club has won the title in 2014, 2016, 2017 and 2018.
