New Delhi: India cricketer Ruturaj Gaikwad was given a chance in the first ODI against South Africa. However, his performance was not convincing as he could not get 19 runs after playing 42 balls.
Gaikwad had performed brilliantly in the IPL season but failed to display good performance. Fans started a meme fest after India lost to South Africa that targeted Gaikwad.

India lost their first ODI agains South Africa
India lost their 1st ODI to South Africa on Thursday evening by 9 runs despite some good efforts by the Men in Blue. After winning the toss, India opted to bowl first. Temba Bavuma led-South Africa made 249 runs in their 40 overs.
Team India came on the ground to chase the target of 250 runs and did not have a good start as they lost early wickets of the openers. Shikhar Dhawan (4) and Subhuman Gill (3) departed early within 5 overs. Ruturaj Gaikwad then followed the openers for 19 runs. Ishan Kishan came on the field but couldn’t make more than 20 runs.
