Erik ten Hag Masterclass Gives Manchester United Resilient Win
Goals from Man United academy products Alejandro Garnacho and Kobe Mainoo grabbed perfect revenge for the Red Devils who got one back at their local rivals who had beaten them 2-1 to lift the title last year. While a late Jeremy Doku goal in the 87th minute shook some fans in the Red end, the team fought through the 90+7 minutes and secured themselves another trophy for the trophy cabinet.
With United coming off a dismal season in all competitions except the FA Cup, they had a difficult task ahead of themselves, facing the Premier League champions Man City. However, it was a defensive masterclass from manager Erik ten Hag that saw United get a hard-fought victory on the night.
The win took them one step closer to the top of the FA Cup winners list after their 13th title took them one title closer to Arsenal’s 14 wins on the list.
