New Delhi: Al-Nassr star Cristiano Ronaldo has broken the record of highest number of international appearance. Ronaldo, now played the 197 matches for Portugal, with this he has surpassed the record of Bader Al-Mutawa, who played 196 times for Kuwait.

Most international appearance for Ronaldo
The 38-year-old striker, who scored his 120 international goals. He is highest goal-scorer in the history of men’s football till date. Iran’s Ali Daei is second on that list with 109 goals, while long-term rival Lionel Messi has 98 goals for Argentina.
Records for Ronaldo
It was the night of records for Ronaldo as he also became the first player to score 100 competitive international goals with his brilliant brace in Lisbon. The Portugal’s forward first strike was a penalty, while his second was a fierce free kick.
Ronaldo’s goals means he has now scored in 20 consecutive years for Portugal. His first goal came in June 2004, when Portugal suffered a 2-1 defeat to Greece during the group stages of Euro 2004 on home soil. They famously also lost the final to Greece.
