Euro qualifiers round-up 2024: England trash Ukraine by 2-0; Ronaldo extends goal record as Portugal stun Luxembourg

New Delhi: Harry Kane continued his golden touch with the ball as England beat Ukraine by 2-0 in Euro 2024 qualifying at Wembley on Sunday. The three lions made two out of two win and topped the group C chart with 6 points.

Captain Kane, who broke Wayne Rooney’s all-time England goal scoring record in earlier this week, netted his 55th international goal from Bukayo Saka’s cross in the 37th minute.

Arsenal mid-fielder Bokayo Saka ended the Ukraine’s resistance and three minutes latter the Kane from Jordan Henderson’s pass and curling a sublime strike from outside the area into the top corner.

The top two teams in each group will automatic scored twice more as Portugal thrashed Luxembourg 6-0 to earn their second victory in as many days.
