After Ravi Shastri was not impressed by India’s fielding even Nasser Hussain, who was present in the discussion believed that India did not allow the hosts to become more involved in the match during the final session of Day 3 with their strong batting. India’s fielders gave life to Ben Duckett, Ollie Pope and Harry Brook throughout Day 2 and Day 3 events and enabled England to score 465 and surrender only a lead of six runs to India.
Nasser Hussain’s Statement
“I think India will be a little disappointed. They had a collapse of 7-41 in their innings and the England score should then have been a lot less.”
“That last little session tonight was vital for them in that they didn’t let England back into the game even more,” said Hussain.
