RCB lifted their first IPL trophy after 18 years when they won the final match by only six runs against PBKS at the Narendra Modi Stadium. RCB had reached 190/9 by the end and for PBKS, the first wicket was the decisive one since it never allowed their opponents any more chances, ending in a one-run defeat for PBKS. “It is really special for me, for Virat Kohli, and all the fans. Those who have supported for years, they all deserve it. After the Qualifier, we thought that we can go through. I think 190 was a good score on this track as it was a bit slow. Bowlers executing their plans was tremendous to watch. Krunal is a wicket-taking bowler, I look for him whenever we need wickets. Suyash and the pacers were good all season. Shepherd gave the key wicket tonight. It’s a great opportunity for me and a great learning for me to captain Kohli, he deserves it more than anyone else. What Happened In RCB Vs PBKS Match
RCB defeated PBKS by 6 runs during the IPL final. Because Rajat Patidar led strongly, his team finally claimed the IPL title after a long wait of 18 years. After a start with bowling, Punjab restricted Royal Challengers Bangalore to 190/9 mainly due to the strong performances of Arshdeep (3 wickets) and Kyle (3 wickets). He made 43 runs off only 35 balls which was the highest the team scored during the match. Starting out, RCB went through fluctuations as many players quit. The PBKS batsmen were contained by two wickets each from Bhuvneshwar Kumar (2 for 38) and Krunal Pandya (2 for 17) which meant they scored 184 for 7 in that innings.
