The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has revealed the venues for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in 2026. This marks a significant return to hosting duties for England, who last organized a women’s global cricket event in 2017 (ODI World Cup). That tournament culminated in a historic win for the home side over India at Lord’s.

Lord’s Ready To Host After 2017
The iconic Lord’s has once again been selected to host the final of the tournament. The venue has a storied history of hosting championship matches, including the 2017 Women’s World Cup final and the Men’s ODI World Cup final in 2019, both of which saw England crowned champions.
The Other Venues
In addition to Lord’s, six other grounds across England will host matches during the 2026 tournament. These include Old Trafford in Manchester, Headingley in Leeds, Edgbaston in Birmingham, The Ageas Bowl in Southampton, The Oval in London, and the Bristol County Ground.

Set to run from June 12 to July 5, the tournament will feature 12 teams divided into two groups of six. A total of 30 group-stage matches will be held before the top teams move into the knockout rounds, culminating in the title match at the iconic London venue.

“The confirmation of the venues marks a significant milestone in the road to the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026,” Shah said, as quoted by Cricbuzz. “This competition will not only spotlight the finest cricketers from around the globe, but also serve as a celebration of sportsmanship, talent, and unity.”
Shah added that the UK’s diverse and passionate supporters have always elevated international cricket events, making Lord’s a fitting backdrop for the climax of another historic tournament.
