Team India ended up the Day 1 of the IND vs AUS 1st Test being played at the Optus Stadium in Perth. The Indian team restricted the Aussies for 67/7 at the end of the day and have kept them behind by 83 runs in reply of their first innings score. The start of the day wasn’t brilliant for the visitors as they lost three wickets early in the form of Yashasvi Jaiswal, Devdutt Padikkal and Virat Kohli. At the end, Indian batters such as Rishabh Pant and Nitish Kumar Reddy played some brave knocks and guided the Indian team to a score of 150 runs in the first innings.
While, the Indian team was wrapped up for low score in the first innings, the Indian bowlers pulled the chain back in the favour of the visitors when Jasprit Bumrah along with Mohammed Siraj and Harshit Rana removed top seven Australian batters. Mohammed Siraj achieved big wickets of Australian batters such as Marnus Labuschagne and Mitchell Marsh who could have created a difference in Australia’s comeback. Ahead of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, Siraj was appointed as DSP in Telangana police and memes for the same went viral on the social media out of which some are mentioned below:

Team India will now look forward to take the remaining three Australian wickets as quickly as possible on Day 2 of the IND vs AUS 1st Test 2024 and setup a decent target for the visitors. Mohammed Siraj will surely play a major role for same and can remove the Aussie tale early.
