WWE WrestleMania 41 was a fantastic event for Dominik Mysterio. He won the Intercontinental Championship by defeating Bron Breakker, Penta, and Finn Bálor. This marked the first singles title win of his main roster career, making it a historic moment for him.
Over the past few years, Dominik has impressed fans with his work as a heel, and WWE finally rewarded his efforts. After his title victory, Dominik celebrated on the ramp, then returned to the ring once more. He has since made a shocking revelation involving his mother, one that might leave fans angry.
Dominik Mysterio Disrespected His Mother
In a recent interview on Busted Open Radio, Dominik Mysterio was asked whether he spoke to his father, Rey Mysterio, after the match at WrestleMania 41. Dominik responded, “I didn’t, actually. The funny thing is, I was doing my thing. When I went into the crowd to celebrate for the second time and raised my hand, I looked around and saw my mother. And I did something no one expected, I threw the title directly at her face. Nobody would’ve thought I could do that.”
His comments have sparked outrage among fans and further reinforced his heel persona.
Dominik Mysterio Defended His Title on RAW
On the first episode of RAW following WrestleMania 41, Dominik Mysterio defended his Intercontinental Championship against Penta. The match was competitive, with Carlito and Finn Bálor supporting Dominik at ringside. At one point, it seemed like Penta might win, but JD McDonagh interfered, pushing Penta off the top rope. Dominik took advantage of the distraction to retain his title.
Possible Feud Brewing Between Dominik and AJ Styles
In a backstage segment on this week’s RAW, Dominik Mysterio was seen speaking with AJ Styles. Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez were also present during the exchange. Based on the interaction, it seems that Dominik might soon defend his title against Styles. A major showdown between the two could be on the horizon.
