He has now become the fastest bowler in Zimbabwe’s Test history to reach 50 wickets.

50 Wickets in Just 11 Matches
Blessing Muzarabani returned to the Zimbabwean Test side in 2024 and has never looked back. He achieved 50 wickets in only 11 matches and 18 innings in Test cricket. Previously, the record was in the name of Heath Streak, who had taken 50 wickets in 20 innings from 11 matches. Let us have a glimpse at the fastest to 50 Test wickets for Zimbabwe:
Muzarabani’s Test Career Till Now
Blessing Muzarabani debuted in Tests for Zimbabwe in 2017. He wasn’t impressive in his first outing against South Africa, but in the second Test, he was in the groove and took 6 wickets. Till now, he has picked 54 wickets in 20 innings from 13 Tests, including three five-wicket hauls. Overall, across all formats (Tests, ODIs, T20Is), he has picked 147 wickets for Zimbabwe. He is at present a member of the Zimbabwe team participating in a series against South Africa.
Did Not Play a Match for RCB
Though he was a part of the RCB team in IPL 2025, Muzarabani did not receive a single game to play. There were numerous injury issues and national duty players for RCB, so they signed Muzarabani for ₹70 lakh as an alternate for South Africa’s Lungi Ngidi. Though he didn’t get to play a single game, he still finished the season off as an IPL champion with RCB.
