One fan commented, “This is robbery! Nishant Dev was clearly the winner. Boxing is so rigged that nobody understands how the judges score the matches. There’s no transparency in the sport. WWE matches are more reliable.” Another fan wrote, “How can you ignore Nishant Dev’s dominant performance in the first two rounds? He completely outplayed his opponent.”
THIS IS ROBBERY!! Nishant Dev was the clear winner. Boxing is so rigged, no one knows how the judges are scoring. No transparency, just unorganised & based on favouritism & luck. WWE matches make more sense than this clownery they calling boxing rn!#Boxing #Olympics #Paris2024 pic.twitter.com/qyra7K7qVV

Nishant Dev missed a chance to make history. If he had won, he would have reached the semi-finals and secured another medal for India. He would have been the fourth Indian boxer to achieve this, joining Vijender Singh, Mary Kom, and Lovlina Borgohain, who are the only ones to have won boxing medals for India so far.
