Jokic fell four assists shy of his NBA-leading ninth triple-double of the season. The reigning league MVP remained tied with Magic Johnson for the third-most triple-doubles in NBA history with 138.

The NBA is an American league and has always shown bias towards their American stars. The fans want to be entertained on and off the field and the American league caters to players with big personalities who engage with NBA discourse. The NBA thinks that Jokic is unmarketable and NBA is just a daytime job for Nikola Jokic because all Jokic does is get on the floor, dominate the game and just want to be left alone.
