New Delhi: After Delhi Capitals won against UP Warriorz, all eyes are now set on the playoff between Mumbai Indians and UP Warriorz to grab a spot in the finals. Delhi Capitals defeated UP Warriorz by five wickets in the final league match of WPL 2023, at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai.

Aiming towards a target of 139 runs, Delhi reached 142/5 in 17.5 overs, courtesy of a knock 39 run-knock off 23 balls by Meg Lanning. Meanwhile, Shabnim Ismail took two wickets for UPW.

Initially, UPW reached 138/6 in 20 overs, with Tahlia McGrath showcasing a stupendous knock of 58 runs off 32 balls. Alice Capsey was in good bowling form for DC and took three wickets and Radha Yadav bagged two dismissals.

Meanwhile, MI defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore in the second-last league game by four wickets at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai. Chasing a target of 126 runs, MI reached 129/6 in 16.3 overs, with Amelia Kerr slamming a knock of 31 runs off 27 balls. Kanika Ahuja took two wickets for RCB.

Initially, RCB posted 125/9 in 20 overs, with Richa Ghosh hitting 29 off 13 balls. Amelia Kerr was at her most efficient, best form. She took three wickets for MI. Nat Sciver-Brunt and Issy Wong took two wickets each respectively. After the win, MI climbed to the top.

RCB and Gujarat Giants have been unable to qualify for the playoffs.
