Ekana Stadium served as the venue when Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) pacer Digvesh Singh Rathi received a disciplinary punishment for his notorious field conduct against Punjab Kings on 1 April 2025. Rathi was found guilty of conducting a “notebook celebration” upon Priyansh Arya’s dismissal at the Punjab Kings while breaking IPL Code of Conduct norms. A penalty of 25% of match fee and a single demerit point were imposed upon him for conducting a Level 1 offense as per Article 2.5. Following the referee’s decision the bowler agreed to the ruling despite IPL regulations stating that Level 1 offense decisions cannot be appealed.
