On the last ball of the 16th over, David Miller tried to smash Hardik Pandya for a six over the deep mid wicket region. However, in between came Axar Patel when he timed his jump to perfection and pulled off a brilliant catch. Miller was stunned but at the end had to leave the field due to the brilliance shown by Axar Patel. The wicket for was very important for the Indian team as Miller could have proved to be essential for the South African team to win the match.

Suryakumar Yadav and Co put up a brilliant score of 219/6 while batting first in the match when Tilak Varma smashed a brilliant century and played an innings of 107* runs from 56 balls. His innings included eight fours and seven sixes. Apart from Tilak, Abhishek Sharma scored 50 runs from 25 balls and marked a return to form.
