Birmingham: India ace shuttler PV Sindhu has sailed into the Round of 16 after defeating Fathimath Nabaaha from Maldives in her first game.
Sindhu is playing in the women singles and aiming to finish with a gold in her hands.

In the recently concluded mixed team game, India bagged a silver medal after losing to Malaysia in the final game.
The Indian star would eye on clinching her maiden gold in women’s singles event. In the last edition, Sindhu reached the finals of the game but had to go home with a silver from Gold Coast.
However, the 27-year-old was part of the gold medal winning mixed team in 2018.
