The reigning world champion got a perfect score of 20 in the first rounds to win the game against Ismael.

Earlier, India Weightlifter Jeremy LalLalrinnunga won the gold medal by lifting 300 kg in Commonwealth Games 2022.
Jeremy set a Commonwealth Games record in snatch round of 67 kg category by lifting 140 kg, 10 kg more than the second best in the list. Lalrinnunga is the youngest Indian weightlifter of the contingent and he is playing in his debut Commonwealth Games. The performance of the young weightlifter will be inspiring for many Indians as he clinches gold with a lead of 7 kg.
