Birmingham: The ongoing Commonwealth Games 2022 has entered in Day 7 and many games have been concluded in Birmingham. A 215-member Indian contingent is currently competing with more than 5000 players from all around the world and Australia is leading the medal tally with a total of 123 medals.
What is India’s medal tally on Day 7?
As the game enters in Day 7, Indian is standing at no.7 with 18 medals. India had won 5 gold medals and 6 silver medals along with 7 bronze.

Here are the details of Indian medalists-
India has won most medals in weightlifting with 3 golds and 3 silver and 4 bronze.
Mirabai Chanu, Jeremy Lalrinnunga and Anchita Shuli won the gold medal in their respective category of the Weightlifting.
Sanket Sargari, Bindiyarani Devi and Vikas Thakur have taken a silver each after the podium finish in weightlifting.
Gururaja Pujari, Harjinder Kaur, Lovepreet Singh and Gurdeep Singh are the bronze medalist for Indian in the same event. Out of the total of 18 medals, India has won 10 in weightlifting only.

Gold in Table Tennis –
India men’s team clinched gold medal after defeating Singapore in the finals. The five members team comprised of the pair of Harmeet Desai and Sathiyan Gnanasekaran who won their first game to take lead.
Sharath Kamal Achanta lost his singles, while Sathiyan Gnanasekaran won the third game. Harmeet Desai went down to win the medal winning game.
Silver in Badminton –
Indian mixed badminton played very steadily to reach the finals of the tournament with ease. However, Malaysia took their revenge of the last edition by defeating Indian squad this time in the finals and restricting them on a silver medal.

Medals in Judo –
Indian judoka Sushila Devi bagged a silver medal in women-48kg category. In the men’s category, Vijay Kumar won a bronze medal in 60kg division. Along with that, Tulika Maan won the 3rd Judo medal by bagging a silver in +78kh category.
First ever medal in High Jump –
Tejaswin Shankar has created history by finishing third in high jump. This is India’s first ever medal in this game.
Historic gold in Lawn Bowls –
India’s 4 inspiring women have got the eyes of the world on themselves when they won the Gold medal in the Women’s four category of Lawn Bowls. India had defeated South Africa to win the final game and finish on top.
India’s first medal in Squash –
Indian star Sourav Ghosal won the bronze medal in CWG2022 after putting up the sensational performance in squash. Ghosal defeated England’s James Willstrop by 11-6, 11-1, 11-4.
