Birmingham: Indian table tennis stars Sharath Kamal Achanta and Sathiyan Gnanasekaran have confirmed themselves another medal as they storm into the finals of the Men’s double in CWG 2022 Table Tennis.

The duo of Sathiyan and Sharath defeated Australian pair of Nicholas Lum and Finn Loser Luu by 3-2.

CWG 2022 Table Tennis: The GOLD Medal match

The India duo had a rocky start as they lost the game by 8-11 but they bounced back to win the second game by 11-9.

The competition of the semi-finals was not one sided as they both gave their best to make their way in the finals. The Australian team won the third game by 12-10 but that was it.

India dominated the fourth game by 11-1, not giving their opponents any chance to breathe. Sathiyan and Sharath ended the game with another win by 11-8, sailing into the finals.
