In the finals of Women’s freestyle 62kg, Sakshi won the game against another brilliant wrestler in the ongoing Commonwealth Games 2022.
Sakshi Malik Bags GOLD Medal after long time
The podium finish in the ongoing CWG2022 has changed the colour of Sakshi’s medal from last edition where she had won a bronze medal in Gold Coast.
Sakshi scripted history by winning bronze medal in Rio Olympics 2016 becoming first Indian women to get a medal.
Earlier, India wrestler Bajrang Punia won the gold medal in the men’s freestyle 65kg category.
Another India women wrestler, Anshu Malik won the silver medal but couldn’t control her tears from flowing down her cheeks after losing the game.
