Birmingham: India shuttler Lakshya Sen has won a gold medal in the men’s singles event of the ongoing Commonwealth Games 2022.

Sen won his finale against Malaysian player Tze Yong by — and took home a shining gold medal. This is first medal of Sen in Commonwealth Games. The India shuttler had won bronze medal in 2019 World Championships.

Earlier today, Flamboyant shuttler PV Sindhu has turned her medal colour from silver to gold as she defeats Michelle Li of Canada.

2019 World Champion has won her maiden gold in Commonwealth and would now set her eyes on Paris Olympic Gold.
