CWG 2022: Star shuttler Kidambi Srikanth of India defeated Jia Heng Te of Singapore to win the bronze medal in the men’s singles event of the badminton competition at the Commonwealth Games 2022 on Sunday.

The Indian star outplayed his opponent to carve out a comfortable 21-15, 21-18 verdict. Although Jia Heng Te put up a spirited resistance in the second game, Kidambi Srikanth did enough to win with some ease.

India completes half-century of medals

Earlier, India completed a half-century of medals in the Commonwealth Games 2022 after the mixed doubles match of squash. India’s Dipika Pallikal/Sourav Ghoshal defeated Donna Lobban/Cameron Pillay of Australia 11-8, 11-4 to win the bronze medal in the mixed doubles match of squash on Day 10 of CWG 2022. This was India’s 50th medal at CWG 2022.
