Birmingham: India is shining in weightlifting everyday. Having already won 6 medal in the game, Ajay Singh displayed a great efforts in the game but he missed on medal closely in bottleneck fight with champions from all around the world in the ongoing Commonwealth Games 2022.

Ajay Sigh misses on medal

Ajay Singh presented blistering courage on the court as he went on to have every lift successful. Ajay finished fourth in the game with the lift of total 319 kg, just 1kg less than the bronze medalist Vachon Nicholas.

Chris Murray won gold medal with 144 best lift in Snatch and 181 in Clean and Jerk. Whereas Kyle Bruce got the silver medal with the lest lift of 143 in Snatch and 175 in C&J.

Earlier, Mirabai Chanu and Jeremy Lalrinnunga won the gold medal in 49kg and 55kg categories respectively.

India is currently having 7 seven medals in the bag. Apart from that, Indian women scripted history in Lawn Bowl as they defeated New Zealand to reach the finals of the game.

This is first time ever that India participated in Lawn Bowl and such a spectacular performance has left the audience in awe for the women.
