The opening batting performance of RCB resulted in 196/7 total runs that Rajat Patidar achieved using 32 balls while scoring 51 runs. Phil Salt and Devdutt Padikkal began the batting performance with 32 runs each in 16 balls and a follow-up score of 27 by Padikkal in 14 balls before Tim David came out to smash three sixes in a row and finish with 22 not out from his eight balls.

CSK failed to overtake RCB’s tight bowling performance during their run chase. Josh Hazlewood’s outstanding bowling performance brought him three wickets and he conceded 21 runs along with Yash Dayal and Liam Livingstone who both took two wickets each. The best performance of Noor Ahmad with 3/36 wickets wasn’t able to prevent RCB from securing their victory.

Chennai’s Innings: Rachin Scored 41 Runs

The Chennai batting line suffered its first loss when Rahul Tripathi got out to Josh Hazlewood for an 8-run score. In the same innings Ruturaj Gaikwad went for a duck and Deepak Hooda scored only 5 runs before his dismissal. During the 7th over Sam Curran achieved 8 runs before Liam Livingstone removed him. Rachin Ravindra led CSK batsmen by scoring a total of 41 runs before completing his innings. During the match Shivam Dube reached 19 runs and Ravichandran Ashwin left the field after getting out on 5 runs. The bowling of Ravindra Jadeja ended with him achieving his personal score of 25 runs. MS Dhoni batted through the match and accumulated 30 runs using 16 balls with both a six and three four hits. RCB’s most successful bowler during the match turned out to be Josh Hazlewood who achieved three wicket dismissals.

Rajat Patidar reached a remarkable 50-run milestone for RCB.

Phil Salt left the game by getting stumped after MS Dhoni took the catch on a ball from Noor Ahmad while Salt secured 32 runs. Devdutt Padikkal managed 27 runs before Ashwin dismissed him during the RCB inning. During his 30-ball innings Virat Kohli hit 31 runs until Noor Ahmad ended his innings by catching him out. The third batter for RCB received his dismissal when Noor Ahmad bowled him out for 10 runs. During his 30-ball inning Rajat Patidar reached a half-century mark before Pathirana dismissed him for 51 runs. The dismissal of Krunal Pandya resulted in him not scoring any runs. The batsman Tim David finished his innings unscathed and collected 22 runs from eight delivery strokes. Two wickets belonged to Matheesha Pathirana as Noor Ahmad recorded three dismissals during the game.
