Al Nassr qualified for the 2025 Saudi Super Cup final with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Al Ittihad in Tuesday’s semi-final encounter at Hong Kong Stadium. The game was full of drama, with Sadio Mane and Joao Felix goals ensuring the victory for Nassr, with Steven Bergwijn scoring for the Jeddah-based team.
This will Al Nassr’s sixth final appearance in a Saudi Super Cup, having already won the competition in 2019 and 2020, and finished as runners-up in 2014, 2015, and most recently in 2024.
The scoring started in the 10th minute when Mane let loose an unstoppable volley from a pinpoint cross by Marcelo Brozovic. The shot skimmed the gloves of Ittihad goalkeeper Hamed Al-Shanqiti before crossing the line.

Al Ittihad quickly made a counter-attack, equalizing six minutes after the goal. Diaby’s low cross picked out Bergwijn, who slipped the ball home casually to level.
Al Nassr were left with 10 men later in the half when Mane received a red card for a risky tackle on Al-Shanqiti. In spite of their one-man disadvantage, Nassr came back from the break seeming more calm and better organized.
Their efforts were rewarded when Cristiano Ronaldo was first caught offside in a potential attack, but a review by VAR overturned the call. Ronaldo, unimpeded on goal, chose to pass the ball across to Joao Felix, who tapped in to become the winner. Felix believed he had doubled his score shortly afterward but VAR again came into play and this time disallowed the goal for a foul by Ronaldo on Fabinho in the build-up.
Al Nassr will now take on the winner of Wednesday’s other semifinal against Al Qadisiyah and Al Ahli Saudi in the final game.
