Al Nassr clinched a very important victory by 2-0 against AL-Wehda with Cristiano Ronaldo once again finding his way back towards a win. After his stellar victory the 40-year old heaped huge praise for his teammates and urged them to build on to the success. Al Nassr remain eight points behind league leaders Al Ittihad, who have a game in hand, and four points behind second-place Al Hilal. Currently, Ronaldo is the top scorer in the SPL with 17 goals, one ahead of Al Ittihad’s Karim Benzema.

Ronaldo said the team’s focus is on both the SPL and AFC Champions League Elite, where they face Esteghlal Tehran in the last 16 on Monday.
“Game-by-game, we have to build again the confidence … We have to do it again we have to win, win, win and let’s see what’s going to happen.”
Ronaldo also took to his Instagram handle after the win and posted pictures with the caption: “Keep Going!”
Despite a win, Cristiano Ronaldo also issued an apology after Al Nassr’s match against Al Wehda which was delayed due to traffic. The team bus arrived nine minutes past the scheduled kick-off time which further led to one hour delay. Despite the setback, Ronaldo helped secure a 2-0 victory for his side, scoring a goal and setting up a penalty, which teammate Sadio Mané took.
