He had sent a signed Portuguese national team jersey which carried a heartfelt message calling for peace. This comes amid rising global tensions and the conflict between Israel and Iran.

The gift was sent when the conflict in the Middle East is on an all-time high. Trump was attending the G7 summit along with other world leaders which included Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz and French President Emmanuel Macron. The summit started on Monday and will be in full-swing on Tuesday as well.
