Becoming a professional footballer is what many dream of, and apart from the excitement of playing to such huge crowds, the reward in terms of money is one of the most favorable aspects. The world’s top footballers are amongst the highest-paid athletes; among these is the most known name in football – Cristiano Ronaldo.
He has, of course, always earned very astronomical wages throughout his whole illustrious career at Manchester United, Real Madrid, and now in the Saudi Pro League side, Al Nassr. His salary levels rose to an entirely new height after he joined the Al Nassr.
A Record-Breaking Salary
Ronaldo started from Sporting CP, now earns a staggering £3.17 million ($4 million) per week and more than £160 million ($210 million) per year. He isn’t modest at Al Nassr either, being on much higher pay than any other player at his club.
In fact, his contract is five times more than that of the club’s second highest earner, Sadio Mane.

Highest Earner In Saudi Pro League
It is no surprise that Ronaldo also tops the league with his earnings in the entire Saudi Pro League. His pay is almost twice as much as Karim Benzema and Neymar, who share the second position in the league’s wage rankings.
Other high earners at Al Nassr include Aymeric Laporte, Marcelo Brozovic, and the club’s recent signing, Jhon Duran. However, none come close to matching Ronaldo’s astronomical wages, solidifying his status as the most well-paid footballer in the world.
