Cristiano Ronaldo continued to shine and achieve new records with his another exceptional performance. In Al-Nassr’s clash against Al-Khaleej, the Portuguese star notched his 100th goal for the club, this also marked the 918th goal of his career. The milestone came in 65th minute of the match when Otavio found Ronaldo outside Al Khaleej’s penalty area. Cristiano Ronaldo is also the first men’s player to score 900 goals in official matches and now he is inching closer to 1000 goals milestone.
Ronaldo’s exceptional performance did not stop, he added his 12th and 13th goals of the current league campaign bringing him at the same level with Aleksandar Mitrovic, he is now the top contender in golden boot race. In just 23 appearances this season Ronaldo has 18 goals which is a great reflection of his stellar form. In the last season itself Ronaldo scored 50 goals in all the competitions held, this includes 35 in the league. The match against Al-Khaleej turned out to be tense one, after Ronaldo’s opener Al-Nassr got an equaliser in just 80 minutes, this happened when Konstantinos Fortounis converted a penalty. But Sultan Al Ghanam restored the dominance of Al-Nassr shortly and Ronaldo struck the victory goal with the second goal of the game, this sealed the win by 3-1. This win ensured that Al-Nassr go up at 3rd position in the current standings, while Al-Khaleej still remains at 8th position.
Ronaldo will be turning 40 soon, but his age never is the defining factor in his performance, the dedication, hardwork and fitness remains an unbeatable force, establishing himself as the greatest footballer of all time.
