The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) also extended their greetings for the legend and took to their social media account to post for the 65-year-old.

During Kapil Dev’s career, the Indian team led by him didn’t just surpass teams like West Indies but also claimed the World Cup title. This victory marked a turning point, solidifying the Indian cricket team’s reputation worldwide.

The Indian cricket team has not seen such an impact from an all-rounder over the years and Kapil Dev still stands on top of many cricketing record books despite having retired from the game a long time ago.
