In a stunning turn of events, Indian cricketer Sanju Samson has pulled off a surprise by purchasing a football club called Malappuram Football Club that competes in the prestigious Super League Kerala.
With none other than Indian football sensation Anas Edathodika as captain, Malappuram FC commenced their journey into the league with an exhilarating 2-1 win over Forca Kochi at the Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium in Kochi.
