The news of the divorce of Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and his wife Dhanashree Verma is dominating social media these days. According to reports, the couple may get divorced soon and it is being claimed that Chahal may have to pay Rs 60 crore as alimony.
However, so far neither Chahal nor Dhanashree has given any official statement on this. Amidst all this, Yuzvendra Chahal has shared a story on Instagram, which has further heated up the speculation where. Chahal has mentioned, “I can only imagine how many times God has saved me.”

Star spinner Yuzvendra Chahal, who has been out of Team India for a long time, posted a story on his official Instagram account on Thursday. In this post, Chahal wrote, “God has protected me so much that I cannot even count. So I can only imagine how many times I have been saved, which I do not even know about. How Did The Rumours Start?
The rumours of problems in couple’s relationship came in late 2024 after reports surfaced that the couple had unfollowed each other on Instagram. Soon after, rumours started rife that things were not going well between the two. Moreover, Chahal reportedly deleted all the pictures of himself and Dhanashree from his social media account, while Dhanashree still has some pictures on her profile.
Love Story Of Dhanashree And Chahal
Dhanashree and Chahal met during the COVID-19 lockdown. Chahal used to watch Dhanashree’s dance videos on social media and he approached her to join a dance class. Soon the two became friends and then the friendship turned into love. The two got engaged in August 2020 and got married in December 2020.
Even after marriage, people liked the fun chemistry of both of them on social media. Dhanashree was often seen in the stadium during Chahal’s cricket tour and this couple is very popular among the fans.
Chahal’s International Cricket Career
Yuzvendra Chahal made his international debut against Zimbabwe at Harare Sports Club on 11 June 2016. Talking about his ODI career, Chahal has so far taken 121 wickets in 69 innings of 72 matches at an average of 27.13. In the T20 format, he has 96 wickets in 80 matches.
At one time Chahal was India’s highest wicket-taker in T20 Internationals, but now he is out of Team India. He played his last T20I match against West Indies on 13 August 2023.
