‘You’ve lived upto ‘c’ word…’ Shoaib Akhtar trolls South Africa

Trolling South Africa on failing to win against Netherlands, Former Pakistan cricketer Shoaib Akhtar said that you have live upto ‘c’ word.

“I have just woken up. Thank you, South Africa. Aap bahut bade chokers hai (you are very big chokers). You have given Pakistan a big chance, big thanks to you. I didn’t think that Pakistan deserved to go through to the semi-finals after losing to Zimbabwe, but Pakistan have been given a lifeline. We need to see India once all over again,” he said in a video.

Temba Bavuma ‘very disappointed’ with defeat

Winning by 13 runs, Netherlands registered themselves one of the biggest wins of their career. South Africa captain Temab Bavuma had nothing but to be ‘very disappointed.’

In the post-match press-conference, Bavuma said, “ Very disappointing. We really played well before this game. We knew it was a must-win game and again we faltered when it mattered. Hard one to swallow for the guys. We had the confidence and the belief to get to the knockouts. You can pick out a lot of things when you lose that way.”

Bavuma compared this defeat with the one against Pakistan and said that they lost wickets at crucial times. “With the bat we just got stuck similar to the Pakistan game. We lost wickets at crucial times. The wicket maybe got a bit hard, but they used the dimensions of the ground a lot better than we did. From all of us, just wasn’t good enough.”
