Yograj Singh Gives Harsh Reality Check After Saqlain’s Remarks On IND Vs PAK Matches, Says ‘They Should Learn…’

Yograj Singh reaction comes after India's Champions Trophy 2025 win, a competition which was hosted by Pakistan but still they miserably lost.

Ex-Indian cricketer Yograj Singh, Yuvraj Singh’s father, wasn’t afraid to speak his mind as he went after Saqlain Mushtaq, the Pakistani legend spinner. Mushtaq lately created a storm by proposing that if India is really a formidable side, it can play 10 Tests, 10 ODIs, and 10 T20Is against Pakistan. But Yograj rejected this suggestion in the strongest possible terms, saying Pakistan isn’t even on India’s level to challenge them in a series.

Saqlain Mushtaq had at first complimented the Indian team but called for bilateral series between the two countries in all three formats. He had also said that Pakistan’s performances on the ground are a result of internal mismanagement and that after these problems are sorted out, they will be able to compete more effectively.

Yograj Singh, though, was not impressed with these comments, stating that retired Pakistan cricketers tend to make sweeping statements in the media instead of talking about the real issues within their team. His reaction comes after India’s Champions Trophy 2025 win, a competition which was hosted by Pakistan but still they miserably lost. Mohammad Rizwan’s side didn’t win a single game and didn’t even make it to the semi-finals, further solidifying India’s position on the international cricket scene.

“I read Saqlain’s comment. What are you trying to get into? They don’t know how to appreciate it. They just speak. So, a lot of mouths were shut. They haven’t learned in 78 years. What can I teach them? People who keep berating their players, what can you teach them?” Yograj told news agency ANI.

“They should learn how to run a country from India and its government. It feels like India is playing a local team. They should try to play against our ‘B’ team,” he added.
