India’s star opener Yashasvi Jaiswal has dropped a bombshell and made a decision to leave Mumbai and play for Goa in the upcoming domestic season. Sources within the Mumbai Cricket Association have confirmed to Sportstar that they received a mail from him requesting for a NOC (No Objection Certificate). He mentioned that he will be moving to Goa for personal reasons.
“In his email, he stated that he is moving to Goa for personal reasons,” an MCA source said to Sportstar.
This is a surprising decision and the officials from Goa Cricket Association have still not given a statement. The 23-year old batter last played against Jammu and Kashmir in Ranji Trophy but he withdrew from the semifinal match against Vidarbha.
Currently, Yashasvi Jaiswal is a part the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 and plays for Rajasthan Royals.
