UP Warriorz (UPW) have secured Chinelle Henry from West Indies as the injury replacement for Alyssa Healy for Women’s Premier League (WPL). Healy was ruled out due to stress injury in her right foot and will not be taking part in the star-studded tournament. Henry is a 29-year old middle order batter and a fast bowler. She is all set to make her WPL debut bringing in a solid form as she scored 16-ball 43 in T20I match agaisnt India and a 72-ball 61 in ODI last year. In her career, she has played 62 T20Is under her belt where she has accumulated 473 runs and taken 22 wickets.

Alyssa Healy had to miss the T20I leg of Women’s Ashes in which Australia won 16-0 against England. Even though she passed a late fitness test she later confirmed that she’ll be missing WPL and also the upcoming T20I series against New Zealand. Alyssa could only score 34 runs in Ashes Test but the stress injury disrupted her plans and ruled out of her further play.
The 3rd edition of Women’s Premier League will be beginning from February 14 with the first match between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Gujarat Giants in Vadodara.
