New Delhi: After losing three consecutive wickets in quick succession, Dayalan Hemalatha and Ashleigh Gardner slammed 50 each as Gujarat Giants posted 178/6 in 20 overs. The duo added 93 runs for the fourth-wicket as Gujarat recovered from 50/3.
Fifty from Hemalatha, Gardner
Hemalatha scored 57 runs off 33 balls, which include six 4s and three 6s. Her fellow batter, Gardner, scored 60 off 39 balls, also smashing the same number of 4s and 6s.

Sarvani gives first breakthrough
Anjali Sarvani gave UPW their first breakthrough. She remove Laura Wolvaardt for 17 (13). Anjali bowls a length ball and ball the hits her back pads and deviates into the stumps.
Gayakward strikes twice
Rajeshwari Gayakwad then took the charge and struck two wickets, she send back Sophie Dunkley, who was caught by Anjali Sarvani at backward point. Dunkley failed to pick the turn and misfired her shot.
Harleen Deol, was the next batter who departed, Deol came down the track and Gayakward slotted it away from her. The shot sliced up in the air towards cover point and Simran Shaikh took a simple catch.

Hemalatha attack
Rajeshwari Gayakwad came to the attack and almost got the wicket of Dayalan Hemalatha. She cuts a short ball, with the ball brushed her pads before hitting the bat and the umpire raised his finger. She opted for a review and TV replay confirmed the impact was outside off stump.
Dayalan Hemalatha, the smashed Deepti Sharma for a six and reached her fifty. She then hits the spinner towards the boundary.
