Women's Asia Cup Prize Money

New Delhi: India defeated Sri Lanka to win the title of Women’s Asia Cup on Saturday and became the champions of the tournament for the 7th time. After Harmanpreet Kaur-led Team India defeated Sri Lanka by 8 wickets, they have won a huge prize money. 

Women’s Asia Cup Prize Money: India win Rs. 16 Lakhs

Women’s Asia Cup Prize Money – India marked thumping and didn’t give Sri Lanka any chance of even hoping for a win in the finale. After the spectacular run in the entire tournament, India has won a total of 20,000$ which is equal to INR 16,48,0000 approx.

While the runner-up team Sri Lanka will also get a good price of 12,500$ which is INR 1,64,000 approx.

Deepti Sharna becomes Players of the Tournament

India pacer Deepti Sharma has become the player of the tournament after some brilliant performance in the tournament. After the finale, Sharma said, “Really happy with the way we performed as unit from the first game till today. We executed what was discussed in the meeting. I just back my strengths and those things helped me a lot in this tournament. The wickets were slow and before this tournament, I worked a lot on my batting and those sessions really helped me. This win gives us a lot of confidence going into the upcoming series as well.”

Harmanpreet Kaur eyes on T20 World Cup

After winning the Asia Cup, India captain Harmanpreet Kaur credited bowlers and said that it is her team tha has won the tournament and they strive to better. 

“We should give credit to the bowlers and the fielding unit was very good today from ball one. We didn’t want to give them easy runs as every ball is important, proud of the way we performed today. You gotta read the wicket and place the field accordingly. We did that very well and placed the fielders accordingly and that really helped us. We were not looking at the scoreboard and we were just looking at the short targets we had for ourselves and it all worked out well,” she said.
