Indian cricketer and Kolkata Knight Riders star batter Rinku Singh got engaged to Priya Saroj, who is newly elected member of the Parliament from Uttar Pradesh’s Machhlishahr constituency. The engagement was held in Lucknow on Saturday in a a hotel in presence of family and many influential people.
The guest list was filled with people from cricket, politics and entertainment background. Among these were the chief of Samajwadi Party Akhilesh Yadav, BCCI Vice-President Rajeev Shukla and even veteran actress and politician Jaya Bachchan.
Who Is Priya Saroj?
Born on November 23, 1998 in Varanasi, Priya Saroj completed her schooling from Air Force Golden Jubliee Institute in New Delhi. She completed her Bachelors of Arts (BA) from Delhi University and then went on to pursue Bachelor of Law (LLB) from Amity University.
Priya Saroj is now a 26 year-old politician and a trained lawyer. She is the daughter of veteran politician Tufani Saroj who has been a three time member of the parliament and he is currently the MLA from Kerakat. Saroj won her first Lok Sabha seat in 2024 general elections contesting through a Samajwadi Party ticket.

Rinku Singh’s Cricket Career
Born on October 12, 1997 in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, Rinku Singh rose to fame when he smashed five consecutive sixes in a single over against Gujarat Titans and pulled Kolkata Knight Riders from jaws of defeat to seal the win. He has been representating KKR since 2018 and after his exceptional performance he received India call-up. Since his debut, Rinku has played 2 One Day Internationals (ODIs) and 33 T20 Internationals, highlighting his power-hitting potential.
