Fast bowler Mayank Yadav is the newest to receive a maiden call to India. He has been drafted into the three-match T20I series against Bangladesh, who are touring Gwalior from October 6. He was one of the headline-grabbers in IPL 2024 as his scintillating spells crossed 150 kph.
At the early stages of IPL 2024, Mayank’s ‘cracker’ speeds were such attention-grabbers when he won two successive Player-of-the-Match awards within four games. He bowled just one over in his third game itself before being sent for scans because of stomach ache, which proved to be the extent of his tournament after a side strain. Still, during his rehabilitation stint at the BCCI’s National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru, he suffered a injury in training.
