Rinku Singh gets slapped by Kuldeep Yadav

A shocking incident following the end of the Delhi Capitals vs Kolkata Knight Riders encounter at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Tuesday has triggered massive discussion on social media. After a closely contested match in which KKR emerged victorious by 14 runs giving Delhi their second successive home loss DC spinner Kuldeep Yadav was caught slapping KKR batter Rinku Singh twice on live TV.

In the viral clip, that emerged shortly after the last ball was bowled, Kuldeep, Rinku, and a group of players were caught relaxing and smiling post-match. Suddenly, Kuldeep slapped Rinku, which appeared to be done in a lighter mood. But Rinku looked visibly shocked and a bit uneasy. Seconds later, Kuldeep lashed him once more this time eliciting a clearly irked response from the KKR batter, who squared off with his India colleague with what appeared to be a few stern words.

Fan Reactions

Social media, however, was quick to judge. Several fans baffled to see Kuldeep's behaviour towards Rinku. Several users opined that, jest or not, the action was not right, particularly in a live broadcast environment.
