Team India has already departed for Australia for the highli-anticipated white-ball tour which included three ODIs and five T20Is. But one of the most-awaited return is of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma who will be playing the three ODIs against Australia.
Virat Kohli arrived in Delhi first and then departed for Australia with the team. On Wednesday morning, a huge crowd gathered near the Indian team bus at Delhi airport in order to catch a glimpse of Kohli and demanded for his autograph. It was Kohli’s response that gained spotlight.

He was seated beside Shreyas Iyer where Kohli spotted that fans were holding posters and he then asked the support staff to bring it in so that he could sign a few. Kohli took out time and signed many which turned out to be a small yet very impactful gesture.
Virat Kohli already has 14,181 runs in the ODI format, this includes 51 centuries and 74 fifties with an average of 57.88 and a strike rate of 93.34.

Both Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are all set to make a comeback in the three-match ODI series. The duo have been away from international cricket after winning Champions Trophy 2025. Rohit and Kohli even announced their retirements from the Tests in May 2025, which means that they will only be continuing in ODIs. Even though both of them have showed their interest in playing the ODI World Cup in 2027, the uncertainty still looms over their ODI future.
