Multiple reports have emerged about possible tension between the Indian head coach Gautam Gambhir and star batter Virat Kohli. In the third ODI after India won, it was Kohli’s post-match interaction with Gambhir that drew attention. Popularly known as the ‘Run-Machine’ Virat Kohli scored 65 off 45 balls after he scored back to back centuries in the last two ODIs.
Everyone in the field was congratulating Kohli as he hit the winning shot through hugs and handshakes, but when Gambhir came the handshake was noticeably formal and business-like lacking the warmth seen with other players, which fueled further speculation about their relationship.

Virat Kohli was the top run-getter of the series, he accumulated 302 runs in three matches which included two back to back magnificent centuries in first and second ODI. Even in the third ODI, Kohli’s mindset was clear – he once again came and conquered, stitching a beautiful partnership with Yashasvi Jaiswal.
Now his brief change in demeanor with Gautam Gambhir has gone viral and it still remains a matter of interpretation since there is no concrete evidence about the possible tension between the two of them.
