The banter between Virat Kohli and Australian crowd keeps on going and once Steve Smith was out Virat Kohli put his hands inside his pocket and showed that its all empty meaning there is no sandpaper giving Aussies a deja vu of their sandpaper controversy.
Cricket Australia imposed strict sanctions on Cameron Bancroft, Steve Smith, and David Warner for their involvement in the infamous Sandpaper Gate scandal. Bancroft faced a nine-month suspension before returning to cricket, while Smith and Warner received one-year bans each. Additionally, Smith was barred from holding a leadership position for two years, whereas Warner was handed a lifetime captaincy ban. However, Warner’s leadership ban was officially revoked in October 2024, allowing him to resume leadership roles in the sport.
