Virat Kohli has provided his complete support to the new captain of Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), who is none other than Rajat Patidar. Addressing the RCB Unbox Event on Monday, Kohli hailed Patidar as an “amazing talent” with a “calm and composed attitude.” He also appealed to the RCB faithful to get behind their new captain and support him for the duration of the season. Although there were expectations for Kohli to take over as captain following the exit of Faf du Plessis, the franchise stunned everyone by handing the captaincy to Patidar.
Virat Kohli Welcomed By Bengaluru Crowd
Before he set foot on the stage, Kohli was welcomed with a sea of applause from a full M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. The crowd was so enthusiastic that host Danish Sait had to intervene, requesting the crowd to let Kohli have his say.

“The guy who is going to come next, is a guy who will lead you guys for a long time. So give him all the love you can.” Virat Kohli said while introducing Rajat Patidar
“He is an amazing talent. He is a great player, we all know that, but he has got a great head on his shoulders, and he will do a great job for this amazing franchise and take the team forward. He has got everything that’s required,” he added.

Rajat Patidar Honoured To Lead RCB
The newly appointed RCB captain Rajat Patidar expressed that he was thrilled to lead the franchise and also mentioned that it was like a dream moment to lead a team in which players like Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers and Chris Gayle have played.
“Legends like Virat bhai, AB de Villiers, Chris Gayle have played for RCB. I grew up watching them. From the start, I have loved the franchise a lot. I am happier that I got a new role to lead one of the biggest teams in T20 cricket,” said Patidar.
