Veteran India star Virat Kohli revealed that tries to do a lot of visualisation to stay at the top, and recovery has also become increasingly vital with age. He turned 37 in November and now in the latter stages of his career, Kohli is paying more attention to his body and mind than ever before.
Kohli scored his 52nd ODI century and was absolutely dominant against the Proteas who lost by 17 runs against he Men in Blue. Determined to play, Kohli reached Ranchi two days before the whole squad joined in and did some extra training sessions day and night just to know the conditions better.
“I wanted to get hold of the conditions in Ranchi. I visualise the game a lot. When I think about the game, if I see myself being intense and sharp, I know I can relax and play out there,” Kohli said in the post-match presentation.

“I am 37, so I also need to take care of my body,” the ace Indian batter added.
“Today was really nice to get into the game like that. Pitch played decently for 20-25 overs before slowing down. I just wanted to play the ball and enjoy the game of cricket,” Kohli said.
“It was about being in a space of enjoyment. And when you get a start, then the experience kicks in and you can build an innings,” Kohli added.

He stitched a very strong 136-run partnership with Rohit Sharma who also scored 57 off 51 deliveries.
