Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma are back in India after the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 and the power couple were spotted at Gateway of India as they went to their lavish home in Alibaug. Even though Anushka returned the next day alone Virat came back afterwards on Tuesday. According to reports, they are set to host a housewarming party today.
In 2023, it was reported that Virat Kohli brought the 2000 sq feet villa in Alibaug and paid 36 lakh as stamp duty, the duo also has a farm house there which costs approx 19.24 CR.
On Wednesday morning, Instant Bollywood shared a video from the Gateway, showing some of Virat and Anushka’s staff members transporting items necessary for their housewarming ceremony on a ferry. A priest was also seen accompanying them, ready to perform the pooja during the journey.
There is also a cloud of uncertainty whether Virat Kohli will play Ranji Trophy or not. Kohli is included in Delhi’s provisional squad, there has been no official confirmation regarding his participation. DDCA secretary Ashok Sharma has urged Kohli to follow the example of Mumbai cricketers and play in Delhi’s next fixture against Saurashtra, which starts on January 23. In a recent review meeting, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) emphasized that players keen to extend their Test careers should consider playing in the Ranji Trophy. However, Kohli has remained silent on the matter.
