Big names like Elon Musk and Google CEO Sundar Pichai were seen sharing their reactions to Jasprit Bumrah’s now-famous response to a journalist, which has gone viral on the internet. This happened on Sunday during a press conference that followed Day 3 of the ongoing Test series against Australia.
What Was Jasprit Bumrah’s Remark That Went Viral?
When asked by a journalist to assess India’s batting on the Gabba, 31-year-old pacer cheekily referred them to Google and check his credentials as a batter. His lighthearted response soon made it into the trending charts, going viral with a wave of attention from fans.
“What is your assessment of the batting, although you are not the best person to answer the question, but what do you think about the situation of the team, considering the conditions in Gabba?” the reporter asked.

Bumrah said, “It’s an interesting question. But, you are questioning my batting ability. You should use Google and see who has got the most number of runs in a Test over. But, jokes apart. That’s another story.”
Sundar Pichai Joins In
The chief executive of Google, Sundar Pichai, a cricket fan, came across the video and posted it on X (formerly Twitter). He also posted an online response, and praised Bumrah.
“I did Google it. Anyone who can hook Cummins for a six knows how to bat! Well done @Jaspritbumrah93. Saving the follow on with Deep!” Pichai wrote on X on Monday.
Elon Musk Weighs In
Owner of X, Elon Musk was swift as lightning to reply to the post by Pichai within 12 minutes: he gave a one-word comment.
“Nice,” said Musk.
That wasn’t the end of their exchanges; Pichai remarked that they should catch one of the South Africa v. India cricket matches someday-a sure indication of the sport where both share a passion interest.
Google India’s SURPRISE Reaction
After Bumrah’s gritty batting show on Day 4 of the Test, which has helped India avoid the follow-on, Google India responded as well. The tech firm’s official X account lightheartedly and humorously appreciated the cricketer, saying “I only believe in Jassi Bhai.”
